“Through the Eyes of Little Crow”
Below is Ed’s sculpture of Taoyateduta. The dedication of this piece of public art—the first by a Native artist in Minnihanna Park–was where he danced the button blanket “Wolves of the Sea.”
Curt Brown of the Star Tribune describes the piece, “… near the roar of Minnehaha Falls in Minneapolis’ signature park, the bronze and copper mask of Little Crow’s face supported by two stainless steel poles was erected just 18 years ago. Salish artist Ed Archie NoiseCat left the eyes empty, a void filled only by the green of surrounding pine trees.”
