NoiseCat Art at Evergreen State College
In 2023, NoiseCat Art began collaborating with Evergreen State College on various projects.
In February 2024, the college began by offering an apprenticeship with Ed NoiseCat to Ablaza Pluff and Earl Pluff, 2 brothers from the Puyallup Tribe of Indians. The apprenticeship lasted 6 months and the focus was on carving a 14’ memorial sculpture of Billy Frank Jr. while also honoring the others that helped make the Boldt Decision of 1974 a reality.

Following this, in the summer of 2024, Ed taught an accredited summer school class to several carving students. Currently, Ed is carving a memorial bench honoring Alex McArty, who formerly taught carving at Evergreen. This project will be completed in the spring of 2025.
Next, Ed participated in a show at the Evergreen State College Art Gallery – The Art of the Salish People. For those of you who are unable to be there in person, here is the description of all of the available work Ed displayed at the Gallery:
During this time, NoiseCat Art (Ed and his wife, Judith) participated in both the 2024 Native Art show, and the 2024 December Christmas Fair, at the Longhouse, with their entire line of gifts. (Judith is still working on our online shop).
Upcoming shows: Ed’s Art will be on display TBD.
